ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. has proposed a biography on philanthropist and Padma Vibhushan awardee Ratan Tata as a tribute after his demise. Expressing grief over the demise of the industrialist Zee said, “Ratan Tata has been a symbol of leadership, vision, compassion, and work ethic for many generations of Indians.”
They further added, as a humble tribute to the visionary leader of the corporate world who made a significant contribution to India’s economy that resulted in the upliftment of millions of people in India, MD & CEO of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., Punit Goenka, has proposed a biographical film on the life of Ratan Tata. He has created a great and positive impact throughout the world with his social and entrepreneurial initiatives.
Goenka believes that the great work done by Ratan Tata should be presented in front of the world, especially to the youth and zee has taken the initiative to do so.
R. Gopalan, chairman of ZEEL, said the entire board is saddened by the demise of Tata and he will be missed. Approving the project proposed by Goenka, Gopalan said the film will be produced by ZEE Studios in order to pay homage to the philanthropist. He further said, “We feel that the film will make a positive impact on the world at large, to learn from his life, and motivate millions to follow in his footsteps.”
The movie will only be taken a step forward after the approval from TATA Sons. It also announced that the profit generated by the film would be donated to social causes and needy people.
The movie is being co-produced by WION so that it could reach globally as it has a large number of viewership in more than 190 countries. Ratan Tata is a global personality and commands respect for his deeds and actions globally,” said ZEEL.
