Shah Rukh Khan’s King Shoot Postponed, Film To Go On Floors On THIS Date

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited film King which was initially slated to begin production in March 2025, will now experience a delay. Reportedly, the film’s shoot is expected to start in June 2025, as director Siddharth Anand works on finalising the script.

Shah Rukh Khan’s King Shoot Delayed

If reports are to be believed King’s shoot has been postponed as Siddharth Anand is giving final touches to the script. King which will be shot in India and Europe, is expected to hit theaters by the end of 2026.

“Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan have made a film like Pathaan and the idea is to up the standards set by YRF Spy Universe film with King. Hence, Sid is getting all the things right on paper before taking the film on floors,” as per Bollywood Hungama sources.

The insider added, “The film will be shot in India and Europe starting June 2025. Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix are committed to providing a larger-than-life cinematic experience to the audience and bringing the film to the big screen by the end of 2026.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s Work Front

On the work front, the father-daughter duo will be next seen in an action thriller film which has been titled The King. It will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh. As per the reports, the budget for the film is Rs 200 crore.

Reportedly, The King will feature Shah Rukh as a mentor to Suhana’s character and is going to be in the same zone as the 1994 acclaimed actioner Leon.
