Nawazuddin Siddiqui was recently asked about the potential for a third instalment of Gangs Of Wasseypur. Last month, a photo featuring Gangs Of Wasseypur actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Manoj Bajpayee went viral on social media. This ignited speculation about whether the creators might be returning with a new chapter in the franchise. Despite the ongoing rumours, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has clarified that Gangs Of Wasseypur 3 is not in the works.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui Clarifies Gangs Of Wasseypur 3 Is NOT In Making
In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Nawazuddin Siddiqui addressed the rumours surrounding director Anurag Kashyap allegedly receiving offers to make Gangs Of Wasseypur 3. He commented, “Anurag won’t make it. Neither will I act in it. I get such offers so much.” He further elaborated that he often receives numerous propositions. Many people are suggesting the idea of creating a film solely focused on his character, Faizal Khan. “People even tell me, ‘Let’s take your character of Faizal Khan from Gangs and make a film on him,’” Nawazuddin shared.
Anurag Kashyap was also asked about the possibility of Gangs Of Wasseypur 3 during an interview with The Lallantop. He expressed his disinterest in creating a Wasseypur universe. He remarked that ‘businessmen’ have a different mindset, noting that everything seems to be turned into a universe these days. However, he emphasised that he isn’t pursuing that direction, preferring instead to make a variety of films and tell diverse stories.
