Raj Kundra made his acting debut with the Bollywood film UT69, which was based on his experiences during his time in jail. Now, he is gearing up for his second film appearance and will be making his Punjabi film debut with Mehar. The movie is scheduled to release on September 5, 2025. On Thursday, September 4, Raj Kundra took to Instagram to share a video, sharing that the first day collection of Mehar will go to the victims of the Punjab Floods.
Raj Kundra Will Donate Mehar’s Opening Collection To Punjab Flood Victims
In the video, Raj announced that the first-day worldwide collection of Mehar will be donated to the victims of the Punjab floods. He captioned the video as, “Tomorrow MEHAR hits cinemas worldwide! But this isn’t just a release… it’s relief. Day 1 worldwide collections are ALL for Punjab flood support. Be part of sewa, be part of history (sic).”
About Punjab Floods
Punjab is currently grappling with one of its worst floods in decades, with at least 37 lives lost and vast areas of farmland destroyed. The floods have caused widespread devastation, severely impacting countless families and damaging large swathes of agricultural land.
About Mehar
Directed by Rakesh Mehta, Mehar stars Geeta Basra in the lead. This marks Kundra’s second acting project after his Bollywood debut, UT69, which drew inspiration from his time in prison. In August, the makers released the trailer for Mehar, which received a positive response. The actress is making her acting comeback after a long hiatus.
Raj Kundra portrays the role of Karamjeet Singh, a Sikh man, in Mehar. The film also features a talented cast, including Master Agamveer Singh, Deep Mandeep, Ashish Duggal, Baninder Bunny, Savita Bhatti, Rupinder Rupi, Hobby Dhaliwal, Tarsem Paul, and Kulvir Sony.
