Working with his father, Jaaved Jafferi, for the first time on screen turned out to be an emotional milestone for Meezaan Jafri. Meezaan revealed how deeply involved his father was on set, especially during an intense horse-riding sequence, where Jaaved watched him with a protective instinct. Meezaan Jafri On Sharing Screen Space With Father Jaaved Jaaferi For FIRST Time
When asked how it was working with his father, Jaaved Jaaferi, on-screen for the first time, Meezaan Jafri said, “It was lovely, it was emotional… it was a big deal for my family. I just wish my grandfather was there to see it. My father is very lucky because he has actually shared screen space with my grandfather — and with me. So, for him, he did it with his father and his son. That’s a very, very lovely experience.”
Meezaan On How Jaaved Looked After Him In De De Pyaar De 2
Speaking about his father looking for him on sets, the actor shared, “I think more than that, seeing his reaction when I was doing scenes. That was a very overwhelming experience. Maddy sir ne mujhe baad mein bataya, because I was on the horse, doing the horse-riding scene. And he told me, ‘Yaar, jab tu ghode pe tha na, I was just watching your father.’“
He continued, “Because my father was so involved, ghoda main chala raha tha. But my father was moving like that every time I moved on the horse. That fatherly instinct, ‘Theek se chala raha hai ke nahi?’, ‘Balance hai ke nahi?’, ‘Baal sahi lag rahe hain ke nahi?’ All these thoughts were running in his mind because he was looking after his son. So that was a very emotional experience for both of us… maybe more for him.”
