Jaya Bachchan is a veteran actress and politician and as per the declaration made in her affidavit, it was revealed that her and Amitabh Bachchan’s combined movable property has been valued at Rs 849.11 crore. Their immovable properties amount to Rs 729 crore. This brings the total to roughly Rs 1500 crore. That’s not all, she takes home Rs 6-7 crore per day for endorsing prestigious brands, both in India and internationally. She also has multiple investments that add to her net worth.
Jaya Bachchan On Paparazzi Clash & Navya’s Future
During the conversation, Jaya spoke bluntly about her discomfort with today’s paparazzi culture and why she feels it lacks professionalism. She also shared her personal views on marriage, admitting she does not want her granddaughter Navya to get married anytime soon. Bachchan, without mincing words, said to Barkha Dutt, “It is strange. I am the product of the media, but my relationship with the paparazzi is zero. Who are these people? Are they trained to be representing the people of this country? You call them media? I come from media! My father was a journalist. I have tremendous respect for such people.”

Jaya Bachchan added, “These men outside wearing these slim pants and dirty clothes with mobiles in their hands… they think that just because they have a mobile they can take your picture, and say what they want? And the kind of comments they pass? What kind of people are these people?”
“I don’t want Navya to get married. (When the host asked if she thinks marriage is an outdated institution, she agreed) Yes, absolutely. I am a grandmother now. Navya turns 28 in a few days. I am too old to advise young girls on how to bring up children. Things have changed so much and today little children are so smart, they will outsmart you”, she concluded.
