Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty and her cricketer-husband KL Rahul recently embraced parenthood. They welcomed a baby girl and announced the happy news with an adorable post. A month after her birth now, Athiya has shared a cute post giving a glimpse of her baby girl and revealing her name.
Athiya Shetty reveals name of her baby girl
On the occasion of cricketer’s birthday, Athiya shared a heartwarming picture featuring the parents and their little one. They chose to hide her face and give a glimpse of her from back side to maintain privacy. The have shared her name and meaning of it in the caption. It read, “Our baby girl, our everything. Evaarah/ इवारा ~ Gift of God (sic).”
A soon as they shared the post, adorable reactions from other celebs poured in. While Anushka Sharma dropped heart emoji and expressed her love, Arjun Kapoor already has a nickname for the little one.
For those unversed, Athiya and Rahul have been dating since 2019 before exchanging wedding vows in 2023. Their wedding was an intimate affair that took place at Shetty’s Khandala residence. In 2024 they announced pregnancy. They became parents last year and took to Instagram to share the good news. “Blessed with a baby girl,” they posted on Instagram.
Last week, Suniel Shetty posted a long note mentioning how arrival of the granddaughter has changed his life. A part of his note read, “Becoming a grandfather recently is a feeling I can’t even describe. It’s a happiness that’s pure and untouched by anything the world can give or take away. I’ve spent decades building and running businesses, making films, trying to create something meaningful. And I’m proud of that. But when I hold my granddaughter, none of that matters.”
On the work front, Athiya’s last on screen appearance was Motichoor Chaknachoor alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
