Bhavana Pandey is married to Bollywood actor Chunky Panday and the mother of Ananya Panday. She runs a fashion label called LoveGen, which she co-founded with her friend. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Bhavana Pandey opens up on the time her husband Chunky Panday underwent a low phase in his career.

Bhavana Pandey on being married to Chunky Panday

When asked about her marriage to Chunky Panday for 28 years, Bhavana said, “He has a more grounded personality. Honestly, than mine. But yes, I think I’ve always maintained that the reason we work so well through our marriage is because we’re friends. The core of our relationship is friendship, and we behave like friends with each other. You know, like, you argue with each other, you love each other, and then, you know, some days you’re very happy, and some days you’re not. So, it’s like a very normal friendship. And, I mean, we decided to, you know, take love in the right manner and spirit, and have that patience with each other.”

Speaking about staying by each other, she said, “I think, again, as I said, you know, you have to be there to support each other through tough times and good times. You have to enjoy yourself together, I mean, isn’t that what a relationship or partnership is all about? When they say he is your partner for life, then it is all about going through the ups and the downs together.”

Bhavana Pandey on low career phase of Chunky Panday

When asked about the low career phase of Chunky Panday, Bhavana Pandey said, “I think he was the strong one because he never let us feel anything. You know, I’ve always said that even though he was going through a rough patch in his career. And he didn’t have the kind of work he wanted, he never let it bring down the family. He never came home in a bad mood, and he never took it out on any of us. He always gave us the best life.”

She concluded, “So, you know, it’s all — success is, I feel, subjective. You could be more successful than someone, but someone else will always be more successful than you. So, you know, it’s just all relative. The idea is to be happy, to be content, and to not let anything bring you down or the people around you down. And I think that’s a great, great trait in his personality.”
