A Reddit user recently shared a frustrating experience where his Swiggy order never arrived, sparking reactions online. He posted a screenshot of his conversation with Swiggy’s customer support, which caught people’s attention. Along with the image, he jokingly wrote, “Bro took my samosas and ran away.”

According to the chat, the Swiggy executive tried multiple times to contact the delivery partner but couldn’t reach him. After the fifth attempt, the executive informed the customer, “I am sorry to inform you that I tried to connect with the delivery partner for the fifth time but I was unable to. Shall I proceed with the replacement?”

Curious about the situation, the Reddit user asked if the delivery agent was still on the way, as he was unable to track him. That’s when he received a shocking reply from the support representative: “No, the delivery partner took the order and ran away.”

The post quickly caught attention online, with users reacting to the bizarre incident. Worried about the situation, the man asked Swiggy’s customer support if the delivery agent might still come to his house after the cancellation. He said, “I hope he does not come to my house and there is an argument over here.”

Swiggy’s support team assured him that they would arrange a replacement order. Later, in the comments section of his post, the user shared that he was given a full refund along with a coupon. The post quickly went viral, and social media users shared different reactions. One person commented, “I thought the chat guy was being sarcastic,” while another said, “I laughed so hard.”

Someone else wrote, “If the guy was hungry, it’s okay. As long as you got a refund. These delivery workers earn very little.”

Another user showed concern, saying, “What if the delivery agent had an accident or something bad happened?”
Many users shared similar experiences. One person wrote, “I faced a similar issue today where the delivery partner claimed to have delivered the order, but I never received it. Swiggy should start using OTP for deliveries.”
Another user added, “It happened to me twice, but I got a replacement order both times. Can’t blame Swiggy for this.”

This incident reminded people of a case from July last year when a Noida-based entrepreneur was shocked after ordering a meal from Ola Foods. To his surprise, he caught the delivery partner eating his order. The entrepreneur recorded a video of the agent sitting on his parked motorcycle and eating the food, which quickly went viral.

Food delivery apps have made ordering meals quick and easy, but sometimes things don’t go as planned, leading to unexpected situations like this.
