As the country celebrates, many Bollywood and Tollywood celebrities have shared their wishes with fans on social media. Taking to X (formerly Twitter,) Thug Life star Kamal Haasan wished fans with a special message. He wrote, “My heartfelt greetings to my brothers and sisters celebrating Bakrid, the great day of remembrance of sacrifice. May equality and brotherhood prevail! #EidMubarak

Saira Banu on the other hand, took to Instagram and shared a series of old videos from the celebration of Eid over the years with Dilip Kumar and other noted Bollywood actors. She penned a lengthy caption that read, “Eid ul-Adha the Festival of Sacrifice is not merely a ritualistic observance, but a profound reminder of faith, humility, and the truth that we, as humans, must choose compassion… even when it’s difficult…especially when it’s difficult.”

Further, she added, “You see, in earlier times, the charm of our home felt different. The air would be scented with the aroma of festive delicacies, the chorus of prayers coming through the walls, and laughter shared with friends and family filling every corner.”

Allu Arjun too wished his fans with a super special message on X. Anupam Kher penned, “Aapko Eid -ul-ADHA MUBARAK!” on X, actor Dulquer Salmaan shared ‘Eid Mubaarak’ on his Instagram stories.

Zayed, in a rather touching social media post, penned, “Eid Mubarak, people, may light, love, happiness, and all the sacrifices you make for your home come true with abundance. Be as charitable as possible . Love and gratitude.” His words perfectly captured the essence of togetherness and gratitude that defines the spirit of Eid.

Eid-ul-Adha is a time of prayer, sacrifice, and giving. On this day, Muslims visit mosques, offer special prayers, and donate to the poor. One of the main traditions of this festival is the sacrifice of a goat or sheep, which symbolizes devotion and sharing. The meat is usually divided into three parts – one for the family, one for friends and relatives, and one for those in need.
