Casting director Mukesh Chhabra participated in the reality TV show, The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar. He was murdered in the 4th episode and has some exciting upcoming projects. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mukesh Chhabra admitted that the other contestants on the show were afraid of him. He also revealed he would want to do such shows in the future.
Mukesh Chhabra On Getting Murdered by 4th Episode On The Traitors
When asked about his early departure from The Traitors show hosted by Karan Johar, Mukesh Chhabra said, “Woh dar gaye the na mujhse, kyunki main unko out kar deta. Shayad maine ek-do baar bol bhi diya tha, mujhe bada maza aa raha tha. Achha, but I think unhone mujhe ek shaant aur dignified insaan banake rakha, jabki main samajh gaya tha sab. Tabhi maine bola tha ki ‘Alas, Traitor hai’ — uske agle din hi mujhe maar diya ji. Toh chauthe episode mein mujhe maara. I think jiska woh murder karte hain, usi ka karte hain jinse unko dar lagta hai. Hum threat the unke liye. Jab threat hota hai, toh log dar jaate hain. But I had great fun on this show.”
He added, “The way Amazon promoted it, mujhe hamesha lagta hai ki maine toh apni koi PR team bhi nahi rakhi thi, na maine khud ko promote kiya. Baaki sab logon ko dekha, itna promote kar rahe the, maine kyu nahi kiya? But jo bhi hua, mere liye bahut achha tha. Had great fun. People meet me on the road and say, ‘Arre aapko Traitor mein dekha, you are very good, you are very dignified, aapne koi problem create nahi ki, aapne daraya nahi, scheme nahi ki.’ Maine bola, ‘Arre yaar, matlab achha kiya kuch!’ Toh mujhe bahut maza aaya. I think bahut accha experience tha woh mere life ka. Agar aise kuch aur bhi interesting shows life mein milenge, toh main zarur karunga.”

The first season of The Traitors India premiered on Prime Video on 12 June 2025 and concluded on 3 July 2025. It was hosted by Karan Johar and had 20 contestants.
