Actress Shriya Pilgaonkar has made a name for herself in Bollywood despite being the daughter of actors Sachin Pilgaonkar and Supriya Pilgaonkar. The actress – who made her acting debut with the Marathi film Ekulti Ek, has also been part of several Hindi projects such as Mirzapur, The Broken News, Taaza Khabar and more. The actress – who was recently seen as SP Devika Rathore in Chhal Kapat, recently sat down with Bollywood Bubble for a quick chat and got candid about several things.

Shriya Pilgaonkar On Wanting To Be Part Of Heeramandi 2
Revealing wanting to be part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi 2, Shriya Pilgaonkar said, “Actors like me, who want to do a full-fledged cinematic film…” She continued, “Main chahti hu woh (to do a David Dhawan film), bahut zyada karna chahti hu woh… Woh milna hamesha aasan nahi hai. (Getting such mainstream roles) is a quest, ek koshish hain.”
Shriya added, “I’m a kathak dancer (but) I’ve not got the chance to dance onscreen. Hopefully, agar aage Heeramandi 2 banne toh mujhe aacha lagega audition karne. I’ll love to audition for Heeraamandi 2 to (show off my moves). I would love it.”
Shriya Manifests Working With Ranveer Singh, Vijay Varma
Talking about the one role she would love to play or genre she wants to star in, Shriya Pilgaonkar shared, “I’m dying to do a rom-com. I’m dying to fall in love on-screen, break my heart on-screen, just go on a road trip with my girlfriends on-screen, have that beautiful song with wind in my hair… “
She continued, “We are not making a lot of love stories toh mujhe… I mean ek iconic film Jab We Met… I mean Geet has stayed with us even now, I was watching the film that day only. So much can happen. You can make people feel so much with your characters… Toh as a genre, main aisa kuch, rom-com jarur karna chaungi.”
When asked who she would want as the hero in her rom-com, she jokingly replied, “Jiske pass dates hai.” Shriya Pilgaonkar added. “At this point, hero koi bhi ho, mujhe rom-com karni hai.” On being pushed to give a name of an actor she would want to star opposite, she revealed, “I would love to work with Adarsh Gourav- what an actor. He’s such a fantastic actor. I would love to work with Vijay Varma, I would love to work with Ranveer Singh. Uske saath dance… I watch Ranveer dance and I feel like dancing, that’s his energy. God willing, that will happen.”
