In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Suniel Shetty questions if Bollywood makes terrible films for the audience to watch, then why will they invest to come and watch them.
Suniel Shetty REVEALS Why Audience Today Don’t Watch Movies In Theatres
When asked why it is difficult to get audiences to watch movies in theatres, Suniel Shetty said, “Agar aap kharab game of cricket kheloge jahaan ek team 200 run banaayegi aur dusri team baar baar 21 pe all out hojaayegi toh jab competition nahi reheta hai toh kuch nahi. Abh koi aapko kharab khaana dega toh aap woh khaana thodi khaaoge? Jaise hi filmain kharab de rahe hai humlog toh how do we, the audience to come? Mehangaai badh rahi hai. Everything is such an expensive process that it’s completely.”
Suniel Shetty continued, “See mera baar baar yahi bolna hai ki excel sheet pe picturein nahi banti, creative logo ko filmon pe chodh do sab thik hojaayega. The number of theatres needs to increase; every small town is an industry or city by itself. So there are no theatres there, so they aren’t willing to travel that long. Everything has changed. Though things have been more convenient, all content is coming to you. Aaj reels Dekhte hai toh kisiko pata nahi chalta. So then you have to compete with that, and for that you need to give value for money.”
Kesari veer director Prince added, “Depends audience ko kya dikhaana chahte ho aur audience kya dekhna chahti hai. Jo audience dekhna chahti aap picturein aap kiske liye bana rahe ho? Maine Suniel sir se bhi suna hai aur bahut saari interviews dekhi hai, pehele ki filmein audience ke liye banti thi, directors ke interview mein maine dekha hai ki yaahan par humain sitting chahiye yaa fir laughter chahiye, ek gaana add karte hai taaki emotion aajaye. Woh sab creativity we’re for the audience, toh woh kahi na kahi kam hogaye hai. But haa agar audience ke liye picture banaayega toh audience aayegi.”
