Swara On Which Salman Khan She Wanted To Star In
When asked this was before Raanjhana or after the film, the actress revealed, “Nahi, maine Sultan ke liye unhe message kiya tha. I said, ‘I think sir, aapko mujhe cast karna chahiye main bahut acchi pehelwan banungi.’ Unhone kaha, ‘Nahi, mujhe aisa nahi lagta, Swara.’ Maine kaha, Okay, theek hai.’ Dekho yaar, hum log jo hain na — hum ye type ka lihaj-vihaj rakhenge, toh humein kaam nahi milega. Hum outsiders hain, right? Mere paas koi nahi tha jo mere liye phone karke recommend kare. Maine jo bhi kiya hai, maine cheen-cheen ke liya hai, ya apne dum pe — jaise bhi mila mujhe.”
She concluded, “So I was like, I’m very polite in every other aspect of my life. But kaam maangne mein mujhe kabhi sharam nahi aayi kisi se. Mujhe lagta hai woh toh ekdum fine hai — I should ask for it. I don’t like doing it, maybe, but I still do it, because mujhe lagta hai woh hesitation nahi rakhni chahiye. Main hamesha bolti hoon, ‘I’d love to work with you. Please cast me, consider kar lijiye.’ But jab se main pregnant hui hoon, tab se maine kisi se koi kaam nahi maanga hai.”
