The award-winning film “Jawan,” released in September last year, was a box office sensation, grossing over ₹1000 crore worldwide. The film, directed by Atlee, featured an ensemble cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Deepika Padukone, and Sanjay Dutt in extended cameo roles.

Another big winner of the night, “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, was one of 2023’s biggest blockbusters. Despite facing criticism for its portrayal of misogyny, the film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, raked in over ₹800 crore at the box office. The plot revolves around a troubled father-son relationship, with Ranbir Kapoor’s character seeking revenge following an assassination attempt on his father.
