And now, there’s some good news for fans of the film. As per a recent media report, a sequel of the film is in the making and actress Huma Qureshi has bagged the lead role. As per a recent Pinkvilla report, the makers have finally locked the script of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2. The article sates that Umesh Bisht — along with his team, is planning to begin filming shooting the film by the end of 2025. The portal quoted an insider saying, “Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 script is locked and is presently in the casting stage. The team is aiming to start by November this year, for a 2026 release. Much like the first part, this one too is an outright comic entertainer.”
Talking about Huma Qureshi being part of the film, the source revealed, “Huma has come on board as one of the main characters of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2. She heard the script and loved what is on paper. The film will most likely be produced by T-Series, and the modalities are being worked out at the moment.” While an official announcement is still awaited, the same source also stated that Anupam Kher and Boman Irani are also involved in the making of the film.
Huma’s Upcoming Projects
On the work front, Huma is all set for the release of her upcoming film Bayaan. The film has earned a prestigious spot at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. It will be showcased in the Discovery Section there. Directed by Bikas Ranjan Mishra, it is a gripping police thriller that follows a woman entangled in a system steeped in power dynamics, religious overtones, and institutional silence. The film also features actors Chandrachur Singh and Sachin Khedekar in pivotal roles.
