At the trailer launch of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, the atmosphere turned playful when Karan Johar jokingly took on a new role: Bollywood’s ultimate matchmaker for Kartik Aaryan. Karan Johar Admits, “Main Bohot Bada Matchmaker Hu”
Addressing Kartik on stage, Karan quipped, “Mai toh apne blessings dene ke liye tayyar hu, mai aa jaunga jabhi bhi chaho, and I will be there standing front and centre to give my blessings. Aap dhundh rahe ho, jaldi dhundho, dundho jaldi, mil jayega.” His humorous encouragement instantly cracked up the audience.
Taking the joke further, KJo confidently declared himself an expert matchmaker. “Maine bohot shaadiyan karayi hai, just to tell you. Kaafi information aap tak aata hai, kaafi aata bhi nahi hai. Mai bohot bada matchmaker hu. I can do better than Seema aunty (Seema Taparia),” he said, before adding with a grin, “Lekin mai apne saare facts bahar laa nahi sakta. So I’m taking on the responsibility. After this film releases, I will take on this responsibility and be your Seema aunty.”
Reacting to Karan’s playful offer, Kartik Aaryan responded with a smile, simply saying, “I really appreciate it.”
The light-hearted exchange added a dose of humour to the event, showing the easy camaraderie between the filmmaker and the actor. Whether or not KJo actually plays cupid remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: their banter stole the spotlight and left fans thoroughly entertained.
