Ahead of the Kesari Chapter 2 release, Akshay Kumar has boldly responded to a controversial statement labeling Indians as looters by General Dyer’s Great-granddaughter, Caroline. The actor, along with R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, has reached Amritsar to promote the film. Kumar spoke like a true Indian in Punjabi, reminding us of our history of freedom fighters and their love for the nation.
Akshay Kumar Roars In Punjabi At British Empire
Speaking in Punjabi, the actor criticised Caroline Dyer’s words against innocent lives lost at the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Kumar said, “One day, the British Empire will say SORRY. It could be after watching the film or sometime later, but they will say sorry. General Dyer’s granddaughter thinks that we (Indians) are looters; I want her to see this film. This film is a reply to her regarding what happened.”
Continuing, he said, “I hope after watching the film, they realise what had happened that day. Even today, the great-granddaughter thinks of us as looters. And I hope this film responds back to her about what happened. I hope she realises one day what her great-grandfather had done.”
