Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is just a few days away from hitting its release date. The upcoming movie is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and the Animal trailer promises a wild rollercoaster of emotions. The recently released trailer gives you a good glimpse of a father and son’s troubled relationship. As the trailer unfolds, Ranbir Kapoor’s wild and violent side unleashes, something that the audience has never seen before.
Ranbir Kapoor describes Animal
At the trailer launch of Animal, the lead star Ranbir Kapoor was asked to describe the movie. He said, “Animal is basically the adult-rated Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. If I had to describe this story in a line, then it’s about a man who goes to any length to protect his family. That’s what the core of the film is.” Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.
Furthermore, Ranbir Kapoor also shared that this is the most complex character he has ever played. He said, “Sandeep has given many colours to not just mine but every character. He gives all characters different emotions, and complexities and that is very exciting to portray.” Ranbir added, “When I was starting this film, I became a father. Raha was born. So, I was doing all these things on set and coming back home playing with my daughter, it was surreal. When you’re inspired, you work with a lot of ease. We finished shooting in 100 days.”
Here’s how Bobby Deol got his role in Animal
Bobby Deol was also present at the trailer launch of Animal. During the event, Bobby shared how he bagged the role in the movie. He said, “Sandeep reached out to me one day over text and asked to meet him. When I got the text, I thought it was a prank. But I went to meet him anyway. When we met, Sandeep showed me a photograph from the days when I was not working, when I used to play in the Celebrity Cricket League. In that photograph, I am looking somewhere far away. He showed that photo and said I want you to do this film because I want the expression that you have in this picture. I said ‘Chalo, bekaari ke din kaam aa gaye.”
Well, on this note, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal will hit the release date on 1st December, 2023.
