Bollywood’s Bhaijaan. Salman Khan shares a very close bond with veteran superstar Dharmendra and his family. In the past, Khan and Dharam Ji have collaborated on several projects together, including Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se and Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om. Salman Khan Calls Dharmendra His Fitness Inspiration
Multiple viral videos from the ongoing Dabangg Tour featuring Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Tamannaah Bhatia are going viral on social media. In one particular video shared on Reddit, Salman is asked about the person who inspired his fitness journey, just like he inspired that of hundreds if not thousands during the 90s. Without taking a moment to think, he immediately credited veteran actor Dharmendra as his ultimate role model.
When Dharmendra Called Salman His 3rd Son
In the clip, Khan is heard saying, “Mere aane se pehle ek hi shakhs the, aur woh hain Dharam ji. (Before I came along, there was only one person, and that is Dharam ji).” Salman goes on to add that Dharmendra has always been like a father to him. He says, “He is like my father, that’s the end. I love that man, and I just hope that he will come back.”
While this clip of Salman Khan calling Dharmendra a father figure has gone viral, the legendary actor too has openly spoken about Salman being his ‘third son.’ During an appearance on Bigg Boss, Dharmendra had once said, “Waise main toh kahunga, yeh mera beta hai. Mere teen bete hain—teeno jazbaati hain, khuddar hain, transparent hain. (I would say he’s my son. I have three sons— all of them are emotional, self-respecting, and transparent).” He went on on add with a playful smile, “Par yeh mujh par thoda zyada gaya hai,” (But this one is a little more like me), making both Salman and Bobby laugh in agreement.
Talking about the bond the duo share, Salman Khan visited Dharmendra at Breach Candy Hospital on Sunday. The veteran actor has since been discharged and is currently continuing his recovery at home surrounded by his family.
