Sohail Khan recently opened up about his divorce from Seema Sajdeh, emphasising that there is “no bad blood” between them and reaffirming their commitment to co-parenting their sons. The couple were married for 24 years and have 2 sons. In a recent interview, Sohail opened up on his divorce from Seema, co-parenting their sons.
Sohail Khan On His Divorce From Seema Sajdeh
Speaking Times of India, Sohail, who has stepped back from acting, shared insights into his personal life—talking about the importance of family, his relationship with his sons, and, for the first time, openly discussing his experience with co-parenting alongside Seema Sajdeh, a designer and star of The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.
While their marriage ended in 2022, Sohail emphasised that their separation did not weaken the family’s core. “I have lived 24 years with Seema. She is a wonderful person, and although some things didn’t work out, that doesn’t change the equation we share. She’s a caring mother, a lovely person. Just because things didn’t work out doesn’t mean there’s any bad blood between us,” he said with calm clarity.
He also shared a heartfelt vow he and Seema uphold for their children, “We’ve agreed that once a year, as a family and as parents, we’ll take our kids on a holiday and enjoy ourselves. We’ll be individual parents, but we’ll come together to give them happy memories.”
Sohail Explains How Love Matters The Most
For Sohail, the key focus has always been shielding his children from the fallout of marital discord. With honesty, he explained, “When husband and wife fight, it only impacts the kids. The ego involved in their disagreements can harm the children’s emotional health, and that’s something we didn’t want. We decided that Nirvan and Yohan should grow up knowing that having single parents isn’t wrong. Love is what matters most.”
Reflecting on his role as a father, Sohail spoke about how his approach has shifted over the years. With Nirvan now 24 and Yohan in his teens, he shared, “Fatherhood is more about growth than control. I learn a lot from my boys. After 40, you slow down, and they speed up—so you have to catch up to them. I consider myself fortunate to have two respectful boys. We have a big family, and I’ve always protected them. Respecting and learning from them has been a valuable experience.”
