Actors Sunny and Bobby Deol, along with their families, are reportedly planning to commemorate Dharmendra’s 90th birthday at his Khandala farmhouse. The family is expected to open the gates to fans, offering them an opportunity to pay their respects to the legendary actor. This gesture aims to turn the day into a public tribute, allowing admirers to honour Dharmendra’s enduring legacy in Indian cinema.

According to a Hindustan Times report, the decision to open the farmhouse to the public was driven by the strong desire among fans to say a final goodbye. A source shared, “Sunny and Bobby have decided to visit their father’s farmhouse to honour his memory and legacy. During discussions, they realised many fans wished they could meet or see Dharmendra one last time. That’s why they’ve chosen to open the gates for fans who want to pay their respects and connect with the family.” The Deols will also be present at the farmhouse to meet and interact with visitors.
Preparations are currently underway to facilitate the event, with logistical arrangements being finalised. The gathering is not intended as a formal fan event but as an accessible tribute. The source added, “It’s not an organised fan event. But the family has opened their doors for those wishing to honour Dharmendra’s legacy. They may consider arranging transportation, especially since the route to the farmhouse isn’t easily accessible for everyone. However, this will depend on the number of attendees, which has not yet been confirmed.”
This tribute at Khandala follows a period of mourning for Dharmendra. He passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. His funeral was a private affair in Mumbai, attended by close relatives and industry colleagues.
Dharmendra’s Passing Away, Funeral & Asti Visarjan
In the days after his passing, Sunny and Bobby, along with Sunny’s son Karan Deol, travelled to Haridwar. They immersed Dharmendra’s ashes in the Ganges at Har Ki Pauri.
A prayer meeting titled ‘Celebration of Life’ was held in Mumbai on November 27. Bollywood celebs such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rekha, among others, were present. Meanwhile, Hema Malini, Dharmendra’s second wife, hosted a separate prayer gathering at her residence on the same day.
Dharmendra had been married to Prakash Kaur since 1954, with whom he had four children: Sunny, Bobby, Vijeta, and Ajeeta. Later, he married Hema Malini, with whom he had two daughters, Esha and Ahana.
