A day after their historic win at the world’s largest cricket stadium, Kohli shared a post dedicated to his wife Anushka, a true Bangalore girl. “I’ve seen it for 18 years, and she’s seen it for 11. Suffered the same moments since 2014 and celebrated every close win and the madness of our supporters at the Chinnaswamy. We’re both equally relieved, and since she’s a Bangalore girl too this is far more special for her. Together all the way through @anushkasharma,” Kohli captioned.
Kohli has been a seasoned fixture with RCB since the tournament’s inception. He was the top scorer in the final, smashing 43 runs from 35 balls with three fours. In the IPL 2025 final, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer chose to bowl first, allowing RCB to set a target of 190 runs. While the target was modest, PBKS, despite an encouraging start, couldn’t cross the finish line. This victory marked RCB’s place as the eighth team to clinch the IPL title.

He emerged as RCB’s leading run-scorer and broke multiple batting records during the season. The 36-year-old Delhi-born right-hander, retained by RCB for Rs 21 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
