A man from Bhiwani district in Haryana was allegedly killed by his wife and her lover after he found out about their affair, police said. The shocking case came to light when the man’s body was found in a drain outside the city.
The woman, Ravina, who has now been arrested, is a YouTuber. According to police, she often fought with her husband, Praveen, over the videos and reels she posted on social media. The couple had married in 2017 and has a six-year-old son named Mukul.
Ravina was from Joodi village in Rewari district, while Praveen was a resident of Gujron Ki Dhani in Bhiwani. He worked as a driver at a sand and gravel shop and reportedly struggled with alcohol addiction. Their fights grew worse due to Ravina’s frequent social media use.
About one and a half years ago, Ravina reportedly got close to Suresh, a YouTuber from Premnagar village in Hisar, through Instagram.
According to police, the murder took place on March 25 when Praveen allegedly caught Ravina and Suresh in a compromising position at their home. A heated argument followed. Later that night, Ravina and Suresh allegedly strangled Praveen to death.
To avoid suspicion, they carried Praveen’s body on a bike and dumped it in a drain on Dinod Road, just outside Bhiwani. Three days later, during a police search operation, Praveen’s decomposed body was found.
Investigators checked many CCTV videos from nearby areas. On the night of March 25, one clip showed a suspicious bike near the couple’s garden. Another video showed a man wearing a helmet and Ravina sitting on the same bike, with what seemed to be a body placed between them.
After strict questioning, Ravina confessed to the crime. She has been sent to jail, while the police are still looking for her lover, Suresh.
